 A few things about me:

I was fortunate to attend three Wisconsin universities and the
University of St. Thomas.
·        UW-Stout – 3 semesters before transferring to River Falls  to persue a degree in Elementary Education
·        UW-River Falls – BS Degree in Elementary Education (1-8) and English (1-9)
·        UW-Eau Claire – Special Education / Emotional Disturbance
(Pre-K– 9)
University of St. Thomas - continued education
My favorite things to do:
·        caring for my grandchildren / watching them grow as individuals / learning from them
·        teaching students / watching students grow as individuals / learning from them
·        reading articles and books about the brain and behavior / reading comics especially  “Dennis the Menace” and “Calvin and Hobbes”
My favorite quotes mirror my overall philosophy of teaching:
Treat a child as though he already is the person he is capable of becoming.”    Hiam Ginott
“Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless.”  Mother Theresa
“Teach kids to love themselves, to realize their basic worth, to respect the needs and feelings of others, to set and achieve goals, to think positively, to honor their feelings, and to go for their most cherished dreams.”  Unknown
