Athletic participation offers students the priceless challenge to combine mental, physical, and emotional abilities in the pursuit of total individual excellence. The purpose of the athletic program is to extend the classroom to all students who wish to participate in athletics. It is a rare oportunity to be all that you possibly can be.
Athletics are to be used as a means to develop charachter and responsibility in our athletes. In regard to academics, the Blackhawk athletic department supports the educational aspirations, academic progress, and general welfare of the student-athlete. In competition, the department fosters principles of sportsmanship, respect, and fair play. In all of its activities, the Blackhawk Athletic Department insists on integrity, ethical conduct, and accountability.
